Soft ballistic plate carrier (pair) SAPI CUT VPAM 2 - compact soft protection for the torso

These soft ballistic inserts in the SAPI Cut are designed for the plate pockets of your plate carrier and protect the front and rear torso zone where fast reaction, mobility and clear weight planning are required in action. Designed as a pair, the insert supports balanced coverage of the chest and back in the lethal zone.

Protection performance and classification

The inserts are assigned to protection class VPAM 2 with close-range bullet protection and are bullet-resistant against soft-core bullets from handguns in caliber 9 x 19 mm FMJ. VPAM 2 is therefore a practical classification for typical handgun threats. Close-range firing, including a mounted shot, is provided.

Important: Ballistic protection reduces the risk of serious injuries, but cannot completely prevent injuries. Even without bullet penetration, residual energy can lead to trauma, for example from blunt force trauma, bruising or internal injuries.

The ballistic package consists of Twaron, a high-strength aramid that is processed in many layers. Aramid fibers are known for their very good ratio of protection, weight and flexibility. At 6 mm, the insert has a slimline construction; the weight per unit area is 3.6 kg/m². You receive a 10-year warranty on the insert; the production is Made in Germany.

Protected body areas

As a soft ballistic plate carrier, the insert is designed for the chest and back area. The aim is to cover the central torso area, where vital organs are located. The SAPI shape supports anatomically sensible contouring so that the insert fits neatly in plate pockets and restricts freedom of movement less than large, universal blanks.

Note on use: The insert is intended exclusively for wearing in a suitable plate carrier or vest cover. The product cannot be used properly without a suitable cover. Covers from other manufacturers may affect the secure fit, for example due to different pocket dimensions or a different positioning of the slide-in compartments.

Correct use / installation instructions ("Strike Face")

Always wear ballistics with the strike face facing outwards, i.e. towards the outer shell.

Strike face is the side without technical data or manufacturer information printed on it.

The side with technical data is always the reverse side and must be worn facing the body.

Care instructions

Clean with a damp cloth if soiled.

The welded TPU film prevents UV radiation and moisture from penetrating the aramid package.

Do not use chemical cleaning agents, as these can attack the TPU film and impair the performance of the aramid.

Compatibility and fit in the carrier system

The inserts are designed for plate pockets in the SAPI cut. Common SAPI sizes are, for example, M with 25 × 30 cm and L with 27 × 33 cm. It is crucial that your carrier system is based on the SAPI standard and that the plate pockets accommodate the insert without play so that the protective surface remains in a stable position.
