Plate carrier for rescue service and law enforcement

This plate carrier of our Vulcan series has very compact dimensions. At the same time, the Vulcan Minimal High-Vis offers very high visibility. Therefore, this plate carrier is suitable for use in rescue services and law enforcement. The carrier can be equipped with for their protection, with ballistics.

On the front, the back and the shoulder straps are wide reflective strips. The user is easily recognizable at a long distance. The design of the plate carrier, reduced to a minimum, allows it to be worn both underclothing and over clothing.

The front and back of the Vulcan Minimal High-Vis have plate pockets to accommodate hard or soft ballistic inserts. With these protective inserts on the chest and back region, they protect themselves from bullet and stab impact.
Stepless plate carrier cummerbund

Cummerbunds are located on the sides of the plate carrier. The cummerbund is used for stepless adjustment of the plate carrier on the body circumference. The cummerbund has a width of 10 cm and is made of an elastic band. The elastic band is attached to the plate pocket on the front and back side with the Velcro. The elastic cummerbund is very flat and tight-fitting. The cummerbunds are supplied in two lengths. Three or four inserts of elastic can be used. When used as an overcoat carrier, the sides of the cummerbund can be used to carry radios, tools, sprays and other items. Optionally, other items can be secured with safety kits.

Cummerbund size and waist circumference

the size adjustment / waist circumference is adjusted from a range of 85 cm to 115 cm. Two cummerbund sizes are available for this purpose.

    Cummerbund 3 Mag = 85 cm to 100 cm
    Cummerbund 4 Mag = 100 cm to 115 cm

Plate pockets for the protection packs

The plate pockets of the Vulcan Minimal High-Vis are available in sizes M and L. These sizes are based on the standards of SAPI ballistics. The plate pocket M corresponds to the dimensions 25 cm x 30 cm. The size L is designed for ballistics with the dimensions 27 cm x 33 cm. The ballistic inserts or plates are simply inserted into the plate pocket and secured inside with Velcro to prevent them from slipping out. Because ballistic inserts and plates have different build-up heights, this has been taken into account in the sizes of the plate pockets.

• Size M can accommodate a hard ballistic or a soft ballistic insert up to a build-up height of 2 cm.

• Size L can accommodate hard and soft ballistic inserts in combination. Standalone plates can also be inserted. A maximum build-up height of 2.5 to 3 cm is possible.

Extension of the plate carrier

When using the Vulcan Minimal High-Vis as an overcoat vest, you have the option of attaching additional equipment to the front plate pocket. Plate carrier pads can be attached to Velcro strips on the inside. These increase the wearing comfort. There is a horizontal Velcro area sewn on the outside of the plate pockets. ID patches can be attached here to identify the user.

Flaps can be attached to the carrier for additional equipment. For this purpose, a horizontal MOLLE row is sewn on the front part of the carrier. Various MOLLE adapters and Velcro-based pouches can be attached to a Velcro surface.
